Solo Stove Bonfire

As I mentioned in my review of the Solo Stove Titan, the lack of smoke is what inspired me to purchase the Solo Stove Bonfire. Standing 14 inches tall and 19.5 inches wide it comfortably fits 5 - 6 people around it. It generates great heat making it great for chilly nights either at home or while camping. Next winter I’m looking forward to a fire at lunch when ski-gating (eating lunch by the car in the parking lot).

The Pro’s:

  • Easy fire starting - It’s so easy to start a fire in the Bonfire and it gets so hot that green wood starts to burn pretty easily too.

  • Limited smoke - our neighbors haven’t even noticed we’re burning fires. Clothes still have a bit of a smoke smell but no one is moving chairs to get out of the smoke.

  • Portable - while a decent size, it can be taken camping.

  • Real wood equals real joy - my kids never really spent much time around the gas fire. There’s something about a real wood fire that sucks them in. Being able to throw wood in and watch the flames often means hours of enjoyment.

The Con’s:

  • It takes a lot of wood since it burns so hot. Because it burns hot you can use green or moist wood once it’s going but make sure you have decent access to wood. You’ll easily use it.
