50 Adventures for 50 Years
It all begins with an idea.
One of the things that just happens in life is that you get older. With kids, I think that path feels a heck of a lot faster, and I found myself turning fifty wondering where the time went. I wanted to set a goal for myself this year and do something to celebrate this wonderful milestone. Ultimately I decided I would have 50 adventures this year.
So what qualifies for an adventure? I think everyone gets to set their own definition, but I decided mine would have some general criteria to start. An adventure is something I haven’t really done before, which could be an experience or travel. It can be an activity like hiking, biking etc.. but not the places I go regularly. Its something that expands my brain in a certain way.
So, basically very loose criteria but the goal is that I don’t get an easy hike in for the sake of getting an easy hike in.
Now these particular adventures may or may not include the kids. At this point I am a part time empty nester as my oldest headed off to college in September so I am also expanding my travel and adventuring in a different way.
